About Criminology Department
Discover the College of Criminal Justice Education at Hercor College
The Bachelor of Science in Criminology program at Hercor College has been officially offered since School Year 2004–2005, preparing aspiring public safety officers for careers in the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), law enforcement, security management, crime detection, prevention, and correctional administration.
Our program equips students with essential knowledge in criminal justice, law enforcement administration, criminological theory, forensic science, and ethical practices, emphasizing respect for human rights.
Graduates are ready to navigate the criminal justice system and deliver effective public service.
As of the First Semester of SY 2024–2025, we have 1,598 enrolled students across all levels, supported by 37 faculty members (12 full-time, 25 part-time), maintaining a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:43—aligned with CHED standards for quality education in criminology programs in the Philippines.

Hercor College offers the Bachelor of Science in Criminology in compliance with CHED Memorandum No. 05, series of 2018.
The curriculum covers six core areas: Forensic Science, Law Enforcement Administration, Crime Detection and Investigation, Correctional Administration, Criminal Sociology, Ethics and Human Relations, and Criminal Law and Jurisprudence.
